WoW Upgrades - The item upgrader kit Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for the latter because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, however, they are always cheaper than buying new equipment. For example upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points purchasing a similar piece from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that are used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be bought by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon or tool using an button, which will display an image of the item at its next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the slot of the item upgrade and the current item level. For example, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currency types.

When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to get their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests in a wise manner, as they are only used for one purpose. For instance, it's Best item upgrade to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the best equipment you have, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you're planning to create. This is particularly applicable to rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to avail the account-wide discount when all of the slots are full of high-quality gear.
