If you're looking to save money and don't need a stroller that doubles into a car seat carrier The Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also easy to push and feels solid when you're navigating kerbs and woodland pathways. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation for being the ultimate stroller that is lightweight, suitable for city dwellers as jet-setters. This is due to its super nimble maneuverability and fold which fits in the overhead baggage of an aircraft. The latest version comes with independent suspension on all four wheels, made of Hytrel elastomer that allows it to perfectly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The bent fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 frame and 6months of colour pack come together to create a stylish pushchair that has a soft, elegant aesthetic. The frame itself weighs just under a kilo and is so light you can easily lift it out of the box (and do it with one hand).

It's also simple to add or remove attachments, adaptors, or adaptors - the hood, for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 with reassuring clicks and is machine washable at 30deg to help deter stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The frame on the Xplore feels solid and sturdy but it doesn't have the same flexibility as other wagons we have tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it isn't able to lock securely once folded. It is easy to move, however, and can fit through narrow doors of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents who are seeking a second stroller that's affordable. It scored a dazzling score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and fold size that means it's lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to move into a car trunk or closet. It also features a multi-position reclined seat and an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other features of note include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels, as well as two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

It performed better in our push and turn test than a lot of the other strollers we tested, but was nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades on it were among the tiniest of strollers we tested. They only cover the top and don't have windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have larger sunshades.

It took us just under 3 minutes to assemble the Delta using a standard manual. All of the components required tools. It's lacking certain features we consider essential in a double stroller. They include a large basket, reclining seats and adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the newest version of Maxi-Cosi's pushchair single range and is described as an urban travel system. The front wheels can to be locked in a forward-facing position or rotate. This is useful in rough terrain. On our walk on the stony path, we allowed them to swivel and it handled this fairly well, though it did appear a little bumpier than others in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is a household name for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler pushchairs for jogging, but they also make a good assortment of strollers with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most sought-after models. It is simple to fold and fits in the boot of a car even with a carrycot attached.

It's heavier than other strollers that we tested, but because it has composite wheels made of rubber it feels solid and well-made. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all types of terrain. It's also a breeze to lift even with two kids and a shopping bag.

The carrycot and the seat both have hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are durable and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams, which can be blown back onto toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have a large basket that's deep enough for a changing bag as well as plenty of groceries. It can also be used with the Baby Jogger car seat for babies who weigh 20 pounds or less (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you are looking for a stroller that is able to be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that captured the hearts of a large number of parents when it first appeared. It's an aluminium framed stroller that can see you through your baby's early days and beyond. The chassis has a built-in suspension system that helps reduce the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made of tough foam, which reduces punctures. Our tester found it to be smooth to push and was able to manoeuvre it through tight streets with ease.

It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It can also be folded and stood up for easier transport down the stairs or in the boot of the car. It also comes equipped with the ability to add a car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that come with it. The brakes are simple to use with single lightweight stroller action, colour coded and flip-flop-friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single jogging stroller pushchair is surprisingly easy to maneuver and comes with great dual suspension, one-hand fold and a practical carry strap. It's also extremely light and robust. The seat can be reclined into a variety of different positions. It also has a double-breathable mattress built in that is suitable for babies.

The canopy/seat has two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors, both of which are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't the best since it's not as silent as Velcro and could cause sleepy babies to wake up.

The Duet is a stroller that can be used side-by-side and can be configured to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and works with a few carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be set so that they face each one. They can also be oriented towards the parents. This can help to reduce sibling arguments over who sits with mom and dad. It comes with a huge tray for gears with a bottle holder as well as snack trays. It also comes with an automatic frame lock and a superior compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger designed for parents who love to be active. It folds down compactly and takes 5-10 minutes to put together with no tools. The manual is easy-to-understand and is available in multiple languages.
