Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The stats of an item level upgrade are improved through upgrading it, also referred to as "upping". Each upgrade increment boosts a stat linearly.

Players can recycle six items at one time to gauge each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling an item varies with its rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item is a method to increase the stats of your weapon and armor. This can be achieved through a number of means, including using upgrade components as well as upgrading an item's mark levels or rarity. Many items can also be reforged to boost their value.

Upgradeable items can be found all over the game, both around the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. The primary method to upgrade equipment is by making use of upgrade components which are items that can be inserted into equipment. Most equipment has upgrade slots, and the majority require a certain upgrade level. Some upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while others give a general bonus.

There are many types of upgrade components available in the game, such as universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, such as gemstones and enchantments, can be put in any type of equipment and offer fewer bonuses than those that are type specific to the type of equipment. The upper-right side of the screen shows the number of upgrade components required for an item. The price of an upgrade increases as the level and rarity of the item. However, you can reduce the cost by purchasing upgrades from a seller, or trading them with other players.

Most weapons can be upgraded by the use of a prefix upgrade, such as an insignia or a rune, and a lot of them can be upgraded with a suffix upgrade. These upgrades alter the name of the Best item upgrade, adding an adjective, such as 'Radiant' or 'Minor Vigor. There are some exceptions, however. the noninscribable wands, foci and shields from the Prophecies and Factions campaigns, that cannot be upgraded using any kinds of mods.

Glyphs

Glyphs are a way to convey visual information. They animate to capture the attention of the viewers and trigger interest in the brain. The animation of glyphs resembles the body language and makes them more effective in transmitting an inter-linguistic message. Glyphs can also trigger a feeling of familiarity in the brain, thereby increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph comes with a range of values it can improve a stat by, as shown on the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use it to enchant an Artifact. This is not the actual amount at the glyph can increase a stat, but the maximum value by which it can increase a stat. The value of the glyph will depend on the tier as well as the quality of the item that you are in awe of.

The majority of upgrade components that are installed into items cannot be removed or replaced without removing them, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If, however, you have a rune or glyph that has not yet been added to your gear, you can move it to another piece of equipment by using the upgrade Glyphs context menu within the Glyphs panel. This will create the new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

If you wish to remove the glyph from an item, you will need to save it using an Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. This will destroy the item in which it is installed but you will be able to salvage the upgraded item using the glyph and its shards so this should not be considered a loss.

The addition of a glyph to an item can cause it to become unstable and the shards of that glyph will disappear from your inventory when you dismantle the item. You can also place an inscription to your equipment to make it more valuable. Deferred Damage, for example can store damage, and then be dealt slowly to the wearer rather than all at one time. This is useful for those who take lots of damage from their enemies but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens permit players to alter the affixes on their weapons and equipment and they can be obtained in a variety of ways, including in mistery boxes, as a rare drop from skulled creatures, or by killing bosses. Each reroll provides the player with an unspecified affix, which is typically better than what they had prior to. Reroll tokens can also be used to upgrade weapon stats to cause more damage or bonuses.

Rerolled items are not listed in the menu of upgrade options, but they can still be upgraded. By pressing the "upgrade button" you can recycle these rerolled items. This will alter the appearance of the window for the item and let up to six items be chosen for recycling. Recycling an item adds small amount of points to its level gauge. This amount is determined by the rarity of the item as well as its level. Therefore, items that are higher level are more valuable to recycle than lower-leveled ones.

In addition to tokens for rerolls, players can make use of Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to reroll the Weapon Traits of an upgraded unit. The developers do not plan to offer paid rerolls in this point in the game's development. They are planning to add a potion that will allow players to change their race in the near future.

Leveling

There are many ways to upgrade an item. The first method of leveling up an item upgrade is to increase the upgrade amount. This increases the value of an upgrade for a stat. The alternative is to increase the effect of the upgrade, which can increase the healing or damage for a stat. The base item can be upgraded to a more advanced upgrade type. The new item will retain its iLevel, but will be upgraded to reflect the effects of the upgraded item.
